What we do

Six things we are genuinely good at

We deliberately stayed narrow. Everything below is home connectivity and home entertainment — the work we have done every week for the last decade.

Wi-Fi & router setup

New router out of the box, mesh nodes placed room by room, channel and band settings tuned, guest network created and every device reconnected.

  • Router, modem and mesh installation walk-through
  • Dead-zone mapping and node placement
  • 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz / 6 GHz band tuning
  • Guest and IoT network separation

Streaming TV & smart devices

Getting picture and sound working the way you expect on smart TVs, streaming sticks, projectors and soundbars, including app sign-ins and profiles.

  • Smart TV, Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV and Chromecast setup
  • App installation, updates and profile setup
  • Buffering, black-screen and audio-sync fixes
  • Remote pairing and universal remote programming

Slow speed diagnostics

A structured speed investigation: wired baseline, wireless comparison, interference check and a written summary you can hand to your provider.

  • Wired vs wireless throughput testing
  • Latency, jitter and packet-loss checks
  • Interference and channel congestion review
  • Written report for your ISP

Home network security

Practical hardening for a family network: strong admin credentials, firmware, encryption standards, parental controls and safe remote access.

  • Router firmware and admin password review
  • WPA2/WPA3 encryption configuration
  • Parental controls and screen-time schedules
  • Phishing and tech-scam awareness briefing

Live chat & remote sessions

Most issues are solved the same day through our chat desk and, with your permission, a screen-share session you can end at any time.

  • Chat, phone and email support
  • Consent-based screen sharing
  • Session notes emailed afterwards
  • Follow-up check-in within 7 days

Moving & new-build planning

Planning a move or a new build? We map where the line should enter, where the router belongs and what equipment is actually worth buying.

  • Provider comparison guidance (independent)
  • Equipment shopping list within your budget
  • Cable-run and outlet planning notes
  • Move-day setup checklist

How it works

Four steps, no surprises, no jargon

Every job runs the same way, whether it is a five-minute remote-control pairing or a full house audit. You always know the price and the plan before anything is touched.

1. Tell us what is wrong

Send a short description through the contact form, chat or a phone call. No account and no obligation.

2. Free 15-minute triage

We confirm what we can realistically fix, quote a flat rate up front and book a time that suits you.

3. Guided or remote session

We work through the fix with you on the phone or in a consent-based screen-share session, explaining each step.

4. Written summary & follow-up

You receive session notes, your new settings and passwords, plus a free check-in within seven days.

Where it helps most

The three problems we are called about every week

Mesh Wi-Fi nodes, ethernet cables and a laptop running a speed test

“It says 300 Mbps but it feels like dial-up”

Usually the plan is fine and the wireless path is not. We measure wired first, then wireless, then interference — and tell you which of the three is actually costing you speed.

Family watching a streaming app on a smart TV in the evening

“The TV buffers every night at eight”

Evening congestion, an overloaded 2.4 GHz band and an app that has not updated since last year are the usual suspects. We work through them in order and show you the difference.

Streaming support →
Small support team wearing headsets at their desks

“I just want somebody to explain it”

No script, no hold music, no transfer to a fourth department. One person stays with your case from the first message to the follow-up call a week later.

Customer feedback

What people actually say afterwards

Collected from post-session follow-up emails and published with permission. Names shortened at the customers' request.

★★★★★

“Our Wi-Fi dropped every evening for months. James found the channel overlap in twenty minutes and moved one mesh node. Two weeks later it still has not dropped once.”

Marcy H. — Augusta, KY
★★★★★

“I am 71 and I do not enjoy technology. Nobody rushed me, nothing was sold to me, and my TV apps all work again. The written notes were the best part.”

Ronald P. — Maysville, KY
★★★★★

“We run a small accounting office from home. The security review found an old admin password and a guest network that was wide open. Money well spent.”

Common questions

Before you get in touch

Are you an internet service provider?
No. TVMar Internet is an independent support and setup service. We do not sell internet plans, TV subscriptions or hardware, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any provider, streaming platform or manufacturer. We work for the customer, not the carrier.
How much does a session cost?
Triage is free. A standard remote session is a flat $59, a full home network audit is $129 and ongoing plans start at $19 per month. Full details are on the pricing page, and you always approve the price before any work starts.
Do you need remote access to my computer?
Only if you want us to and only for the length of the session. We use a session-based screen-share tool that you start, watch and close. We never install permanent remote-access software, and we never ask for banking credentials.
How quickly can you help?
Most requests booked before 4:00 PM ET on a business day are handled the same day. Chat messages are typically answered within one business hour during support hours (Mon–Sat, 8:00–20:00 ET).
Do you visit homes in person?
On-site visits are available within roughly 40 miles of Germantown, Kentucky. Everywhere else in the United States we work by phone, chat and remote session, which solves the large majority of cases.
